Elmwood has gone a perfect 6-0 against Abingdon/Avon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Trojans will venture away from home to challenge the Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. Elmwood is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Elmwood picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against Mercer County by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Abingdon/Avon unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Alleman on Monday. The Tornadoes have struggled against the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Elmwood's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Abingdon/Avon, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Elmwood was able to grind out a solid win over Abingdon/Avon when the teams last played back in September of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
