Preview: Fairview Warriors vs. Culbertson Cowboys
Fairview is 10-0 against Culbertson since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Fairview Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Culbertson Cowboys at 7:30 p.m. Culbertson took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fairview, who comes in off a win.
Fairview posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. Everything went their way against Wolf Point as Fairview made off with a 73-50 win.
Culbertson suffered their biggest defeat since December 16, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 76-41 defeat at the hands of Poplar. That's two games in a row now that Culbertson has lost by exactly 35 points.
Culbertson's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Bridger Salvevold, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and four steals, and Plenny Williams who scored nine points.
Fairview is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Culbertson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.
Fairview was able to grind out a solid victory over Culbertson when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 66-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fairview since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
