Football Recap: Olney Cubs vs. Electra Tigers
Olney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Electra Tigers, falling 54-14. The Cubs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2021.
Olney's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Tucker Cortinez and Camron McComack.
Olney's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Electra, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olney will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chico at 7:00 p.m. on September 27th. Hopefully Olney focused on turnovers this week as the team gave up eight on Friday. As for Electra, they will host Era on Friday.
