Basketball Recap: New Richmond Snaps 16-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Richmond). They managed a 69-65 victory over the Augusta Beavers on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

New Richmond's victory ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4. As for Augusta, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the New Richmond Tigers face off against the River Falls Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Augusta, they and Elmwood/Plum City will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Augusta is facing Elmwood/Plum City at the right time seeing as Elmwood/Plum City is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
