Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Immaculate Heart Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Mount St. Dominic Academy Lions by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Blue Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their 16-game winning streak.

Immaculate Heart Academy got a good showing from Gabi Dellavolpe, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Dellavolpe has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances.
