Soccer Recap: Quartz Hill Takes a Loss

Quartz Hill was the 2-1 winner over The Palmdale Aerospace Academy when they last played one another back in December of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Quartz Hill Royals fell just short of The Palmdale Aerospace Academy Griffins by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 624th, while the Griffins are ranked 91st).

Quartz Hill's goal came courtesy of Raphael Plascencia, who's now up to three this season.

Quartz Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-2. As for The Palmdale Aerospace Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1-1.

Quartz Hill wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 4-0 loss against Valencia on the 13th. The Palmdale Aerospace Academy has also already played their next match (against St. Monica Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
