Volleyball Game Preview: Carl Hayden Community Falcons vs. Alhambra Lions

The Carl Hayden Community Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge the Alhambra Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Carl Hayden Community earned a 3-1 victory over Fairfax.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-27, 25-11, 25-16.

Adrian Pita Guaydacan had a dynamite game, getting 18 digs and three aces. Those three aces gave him a new career-high. Martin Cervantes also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Meanwhile, Alhambra entered their tilt with Fairfax on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Stampede.

Carl Hayden Community's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Alhambra, their victory bumped their record up to 11-13.

Carl Hayden Community beat Alhambra 3-1 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
