            Surry Central is 0-10 against West Wilkes since March of 2022 but things could change  on Friday. The Surry Central Golden Eagles will be playing at home against the West Wilkes Blackhawks  at 6:00  p.m. Surry Central will be strutting in after a  win while West Wilkes will be coming in after a  defeat.
Surry Central made up a huge gap compared to their last game against South Stokes, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Surry Central put the hurt on South Stokes with a sharp  13-2 victory on Thursday. The  match marked the Golden Eagles' most dominant  win of the  season so far.

The dominant performance gave  her a new career-high in  strikeouts. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and four  RBI. Those  RBI marked the first that  she  brought in this season.
 In other batting news,  Morgan Brooks was  incredible,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. Those  two  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Ragan Hall was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 Surry Central  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, West Wilkes fought the good fight in their extra-innings  contest against Ashe County  on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Huskies by a score of  9-8. The Blackhawks' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
 Surry Central pushed their record up to 3-3 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.2 runs. As for West Wilkes, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
