Basketball Recap: Walled Lake Central Takes a Loss

Walled Lake Central lost against South Lyon East back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Walled Lake Central Vikings were beaten by the South Lyon East Cougars 60-33. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 578th, while the Cougars are ranked 243rd).

Walled Lake Central dropped their record down to 1-17 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for South Lyon East, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season.

Coming up, Walled Lake Central will take on St. Catherine of Siena Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Lyon East, they will face off against Walled Lake Western at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. South Lyon East is facing Walled Lake Western at the right time seeing as Walled Lake Western is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
