 Westminster's game  last Tuesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. They blew past the Fort Lupton Bluedevils 16-6. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Westminster considering their one-run performance the  matchup before.
  Daniel Saminego was a standout: he scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of his five plate appearances.  Andrew Espinoza was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 On Fort Lupton's side,  Gage Hofferber made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Robert Ortiz, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances.
 Westminster's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Fort Lupton, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost eight of their last nine contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westminster is on the road again  on Saturday to play Vista PEAK Prep at 10:00  a.m. As for Fort Lupton, they will  take on Peak to Peak at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Peak to Peak is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3  runs per game  this season.
