Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Windsor Academy). They enjoyed a cozy 51-35 win over the Heritage Hawks on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Windsor Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Heath Woodard, who threw for 409 yards and six TDs while completing 77.4% of his passes. The Knights are 2-1 when Woodard posts 300 or more passing yards, but 1-6 otherwise. Santiago Medina was Woodard's top target, picking up 143 receiving yards and three scores, while also rushing for 58 yards and one touchdown.

Heritage lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tyson Hamaker, who rushed for 129 yards and one TD, and also picked up 31 receiving yards and one touchdown. Nate Griffeth was another key player, gaining 113 total yards and two touchdowns.

The win made it two in a row for Windsor Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.5 points over those games. As for Heritage, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Windsor Academy has already played their next matchup, a 35-8 win against Augusta Prep on the 31st. As for Heritage, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 47-13 defeat against Gatewood on the 31st.
