Basketball Recap: Colby Murphy Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Paul Public Charter International

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Parkside walked away with it. They walked away with an 84-71 win over the Paul Public Charter International Pirates on Friday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parkside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colby Murphy, who posted 24 points. Murphy has been hot for a while, having posted 20 or more points the last 11 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Daiquan Smith, who scored 18 points.

Nasir Rodgers and Kamrin Milam certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Rodgers went 7-for-15 en route to 20 points, while Milam earned 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lorenzo Stanbeck, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 11 points.

Parkside's record now sits at 19-10. As for Paul Public Charter International, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.

As of now, neither Parkside nor Paul Public Charter International have any future games scheduled.
