Baseball Game Preview: Bronson Eagles vs. Eastside Rams

Bronson is 0-6 against Eastside since April of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Bronson Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Eastside Rams at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bronson is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They lost 18-7 to Dixie County.

Tristen ONeal made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. T Petrykowski also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Meanwhile, Eastside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Hawthorne, falling 13-3.

Eastside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rodney McClellon Jr., who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another was Seven Douglas, who scored a run and stole three bases.

Bronson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Eastside, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6-2.

Eastside's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Bronson has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Eastside, though, as they've been averaging only 3.4 strikeouts. Will Bronson keep running through batters, or will Eastside buck the trend?

Bronson might still be hurting after the 17-2 defeat they got from Eastside in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Can Bronson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
