Basketball Recap: Sehome Comes Up Short

Sehome suffered their biggest defeat since December 5, 2024 on Wednesday. They were beaten by the Lynden Lions 63-36. While losing is never fun, the Mariners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Lions are ranked tenth).

Sehome has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Lynden, their win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sehome has already played their next match (against Lakewood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lynden Lions take on the Burlington-Edison Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lynden's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
