Softball Recap: North Myrtle Beach Gets the Win

North Myrtle Beach had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Myrtle Beach on Tuesday. The Chiefs never let the Seahawks get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Chiefs in their matchups with the Seahawks: they've now won five in a row.

Nealy Lockner was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Izzy Bruno was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Sadie Olson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

North Myrtle Beach was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Myrtle Beach only posted a batting average of .118.
