Baseball Recap: Southside Comes Up Short

Southside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the High Point Academy Grizzlies, falling 32-2.

Carlos Ramirez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits.

Southside's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for High Point Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Southside didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-5 defeat against Carolina Academy on the 4th. As for High Point Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Oakbrook Prep on the 6th.
