Soccer Game Preview: Mount Tahoma vs. Silas

Mount Tahoma hasn't had much luck against Silas recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The T-Birds will head out to challenge the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Mount Tahoma lost 12-1 to Gig Harbor on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Mount Tahoma can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 226th, while Gig Harbor are ranked 41st).

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Silas' good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. Neither they nor Bellarmine Prep could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result kept Silas happy, as they haven't lost a game since March 25th.

Silas' draw gives them a new season record of 7-3-2. As for Mount Tahoma, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10-1.

Mount Tahoma suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Silas in their previous matchup on April 3rd. Can the T-Birds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
