Football Game Preview: Ridgeline Riverhawks vs. Green Canyon Wolves

The Ridgeline Riverhawks will take on the Green Canyon Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Ridgeline is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Stansbury: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Riverhawks blew the Stallions out of the water with a 40-6 final score. The Riverhawks' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

The critical scores for Ridgeline came from Hunter Knighton and Braxton Parry.

Ridgeline didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Cooper Clark, Knighton, and Parry picked up one apiece. Clark also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with ten. Krew Jones was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks, making eight total tackles (3.0 for loss), and defending one pass.

Meanwhile, Green Canyon never let their opponents score on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Tooele 28-0. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Buffaloes recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Green Canyon's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Ridgeline, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.

Ridgeline strolled past Green Canyon when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a score of 39-21. Do the Riverhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
