While Summit Shasta put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Summit Tahoma. Summit Shasta was the clear victor by a 17-0 margin over Summit Tahoma. The Black Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by ten runs or more this season.

Jalen Mingao was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Mingao was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Milo Jung was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. He has become a key player for Summit Shasta: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Maxwell Espinola was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Summit Shasta was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Summit Shasta's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Summit Tahoma, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Summit Shasta will head out to take on Crystal Springs Uplands at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Crystal Springs Uplands' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Summit Shasta's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Summit Tahoma, they will head out on the road to challenge Summit Shasta at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
