Basketball Recap: Jake King Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Idalia

Arickaree won the last time they faced Idalia and things went their way on Friday too. The Arickaree Bison took down the Idalia Wolves 50-32. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bison.

Arickaree got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jake King out in front who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds. What's more, King also posted a 62% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January. Austin Wright was another key player, shooting 56% from the field en route to 13 points in addition to eight boards and four steals.

Arickaree was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are 13-6 when they've passed the ball that well.

Despite the defeat, Idalia saw an underclassman step up: freshman Broderick Kite went 5-for-11 on his way to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kolby Morris, who posted nine points.

Arickaree's record is now 14-8. As for Idalia, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Arickaree didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-38 loss against Otis on the 1st. As for Idalia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 40-37 win against Prairie on the 1st.
