Baseball Recap: Benson Bunnies vs. Twin River Titans
Benson extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 41 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-19 in the process. They lost 10-0 to the Twin River Titans. If the Bunnies were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to the Titans when the teams met back in May of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Twin River, their record is now 7-8. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 8th (when they won 14-3).
For Twin River's part, Braedyn Ramaekers made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ramaekers has become a key player for Twin River: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 5-7 otherwise. Ramaekers was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Garrett Alexander and Colsten Rodriguez did most of the damage at the plate: Alexander went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two hits gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Aden Feezell also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
As of now, neither Benson nor Twin River have any future games scheduled.
