Baseball Game Preview: Johnsburg Skyhawks vs. Woodstock Blue Streaks

For the second straight game, Johnsburg will face off against Woodstock. The Skyhawks will challenge the Blue Streaks at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Johnsburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Johnsburg will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Saturday, then bounced right back against Woodstock on Monday. The Skyhawks put the hurt on the Blue Streaks with a sharp 13-3 victory.

Ahston Stern was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Thompson, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Johnsburg lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Woodstock has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Johnsburg, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.
