Baseball Game Preview: York Cougars vs. Camden Bulldogs

For the first time this season, York will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Thursday. They will face off against the Camden Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. York is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for York after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 6-3 to Camden.

Larson Montgomery was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Lem Moss was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

Camden's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for York, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 4-2.
