Basketball Game Preview: Trona Tornadoes vs. Mojave Mustangs

Trona is 2-8 against Mojave since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Trona Tornadoes will host the Mojave Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. Trona will be strutting in after a victory while Mojave will be coming in after a loss.

Trona took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They put the hurt on Owens Valley with a sharp 53-27 win. That 26 point margin sets a new team best for the Tornadoes this season.

Meanwhile, Mojave ended up a good deal behind Lucerne Valley on Tuesday and lost 59-41.

Mojave has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Trona, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-9.

Trona didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Mojave in their previous meeting last Saturday, but they still walked away with a 48-42 win. Does Trona have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mojave turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
