Soccer Game Preview: Cedar Creek vs. Crockett

The Cedar Creek Eagles will head out to take on the Crockett Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Crockett took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Cedar Creek, who comes in off a win.

Cedar Creek will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Navarro on Friday. Cedar Creek's defense stepped up to hand Navarro an 8-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Crockett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Richards School for Young Women Leaders, falling 7-0.

Cedar Creek's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Crockett, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Cedar Creek beat Crockett by a goal when the teams last played back in January, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cedar Creek since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
