Preview: Northwest Knights vs. Goshen Warriors

The Northwest Knights will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Goshen Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Northwest posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 66-63 win over Harrison.

Meanwhile, Goshen had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points), and they went ahead and made it 13 on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Wilmington as Goshen made off with a 70-44 victory. Goshen has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Bray Settelmayer and Caden Zeinner were among the main playmakers for Goshen as the former scored 20 points along with three steals and the latter scored 22 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Settelmayer scored 15 or more points. Conner Moore was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.

Northwest's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Goshen, they pushed their record up to 14-1 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home.

Northwest came up short against Goshen in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 53-46. Will Northwest have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
