Basketball Recap: Dekaney Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

It was a proper cat-fight when Dekaney took on Spring on Tuesday. The Wildcats walked away with a 77-64 victory over the Lions. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won three games in a row.

Despite the loss, Spring still got an impressive performance from Jaylan Tran, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine steals. Tran has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Beal, who posted 14 points along with five assists and five boards.

Dekaney's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Spring, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Dekaney is set to take on their familiar foe MacArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Spring will face off against rival Nimitz at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
