Volleyball Recap: Advanced Math & Science Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Advanced Math & Science Academy lost against Notre Dame Academy two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rebels. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Advanced Math & Science Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-6, 25-6, 25-12.

Guil Yost paced Advanced Math & Science Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Yost got some help from Aysha Silva and her ten assists. Maria Elena Lambarena-Tanaka controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Advanced Math & Science Academy suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 8-4. As for Notre Dame Academy, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0.

Looking ahead, Advanced Math & Science Academy will face off against Hopedale at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Notre Dame Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against North on the 6th.
