Basketball Recap: Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial Comes Up Short

Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt an 81-39 defeat at the hands of the Lewis Angapak Blue Jays. One positive for the Carayiit, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Lewis Angapak was led to victory by Brooklyn Carl and Shalisa McDalton. Carl made all 7 shots she took for 16 points, while McDalton made all 7 shots she took to post 15 points. McDalton is also crushing it when it comes to field goal percentage: she's posted at least one every time she's taken the court this season. Emma Friendly was another key player, as she made all 5 shots she took racking up 10 points.

Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lewis Angapak, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-5.
