Volleyball Recap: Holy Cross Falls Short Against Ranked St. Xavier

Holy Cross faced St. Xavier in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for St. Xavier, the victory was the 23rd in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Cross will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on DuPont Manual at 6:30 p.m. on May 7. As for St. Xavier, they will take on Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
