Basketball Recap: Sauk Rapids-Rice Takes a Loss

Sauk Rapids-Rice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres 74-15. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while the Sabres are ranked 73rd).

Sauk Rapids-Rice's loss dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Sartell-St. Stephen, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Brainerd the next time they take the court. Sartell-St. Stephen will host Brainerd at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, while Sauk Rapids-Rice will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on February 11th.
