Alexandria came tearing into Friday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.6 points), and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 40-22 victory over the Etowah Blue Devils. Given the Valley Cubs' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 257th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
