Eastside barely beat Spartanburg the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 9-3 victory on Monday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Eastside pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Spartanburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Eastside will have a chance to go back-to-back against Spartanburg: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
