Basketball Game Preview: Grosse Ile Red Devils vs. Riverview Pirates

Grosse Ile is 2-8 against Riverview since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Grosse Ile Red Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Riverview Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Tuesday, Grosse Ile came up short against Huron and fell 56-49. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Riverview also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to St. Mary Catholic Central by a score of 61-53.

Riverview's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Grosse Ile, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Grosse Ile and Riverview were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February, but Grosse Ile came up empty-handed after a 39-38 defeat. Can Grosse Ile avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
