Volleyball Recap: Pottsboro Comes Up Short

Pottsboro came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Whitewright Tigers, falling 3-0. The Cardinals have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Pottsboro was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13, 25-23.

Pottsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Whitewright, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-9.

Pottsboro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Gunter on the 9th. As for Whitewright, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Paris at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th.
