Baseball Game Preview: Jamestown vs. Pilot Grove Tigers

Jamestown and Pilot Grove are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. Jamestown will challenge Pilot Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jamestown has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jamestown lost 20-5 to California on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for Jamestown in their meetings with California: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Pilot Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Sweet Springs. On the bright side, the six- run performance marked the Tigers' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Pilot Grove's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Jamestown, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
