Basketball Game Preview: Germantown Christian Conquerors vs. Christian Academy Eagles

The Germantown Christian Conquerors will challenge the Christian Academy Eagles at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Germantown Christian is looking for their season's first victory.

Last Monday, Germantown Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 32-26 to East Dayton Christian. While the Conquerors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating East Dayton Christian 6-1 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Germantown Christian got top-tier performance from Grace Smith, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards. That was a full 84.6% of Germantown Christian's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Meanwhile, Christian Academy humbled Germantown Christian with a 54-15 victory. With the Eagles ahead 40-4 at the half, the game was all but over already.

The win made it two in a row for Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Germantown Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Germantown Christian was dealt a bruising 54-15 loss at the hands of Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Germantown Christian was down 40-4.
