Island Coast came into Thursday's game looking for another win against Ida Baker, but Brendan Slack wouldn't allow it. The Bulldogs blew past the Gators 73-27 on Thursday with plenty of help from Slack, who went 13-for-20 on his way to 29 points along with eight boards and three steals. The contest was his eighth in a row with at least 17 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Burney, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten assists. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 47.1% shooting accuracy.

The victory made it two in a row for Ida Baker and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Island Coast, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Ida Baker has already played their next matchup, an 87-66 loss against Cape Coral on the 12th. As for Island Coast, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-30 defeat against LaBelle on the 12th.
