Softball Recap: Southridge Comes Up Short

If Southridge was feeling good fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Crawford County last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders fell just short of the Tell City Marksmen by a score of 8-7 on Tuesday. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Marksmen apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Camryn Nalley led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Ady Lanman, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Southridge now has a losing record of 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Southridge is set to challenge their familiar foe Forest Park at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Tell City will face off against rival Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
