Baseball Recap: Eight Straight Home Wins for Jesuit

Jesuit got themselves on the board against Mountain View on Tuesday, but Mountain View never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 6-0 victory. The Crusaders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

Jesuit's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Mountain View, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jesuit will square off against Tualatin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Crusaders 2.7, the Timberwolves 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Mountain View, they are taking a road trip to take on West Salem at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
