Basketball Game Preview: Berthoud Spartans vs. Timnath Cubs

The Berthoud Spartans will host the Timnath Cubs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Berthoud: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Timnath has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

Last Saturday, Berthoud came up short against Northridge and fell 55-43.

Avery Pfohl put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted 17 points and eight boards. Her big performance that afternoon made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Kaylee Padilla was another key player, putting up eight points.

Meanwhile, Timnath blew past Wellington, posting a 62-33 win. The Cubs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Timnath's victory bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Berthoud, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.
