While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Brenham was not quite Giddings's equal in the second half on Saturday. They fell just short of the Giddings Buffaloes by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Cubs in their matchups with the Buffaloes: they've now lost three in a row.

Brenham's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Giddings, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Brenham will welcome Elgin at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Giddings, they are taking a road trip to take on Smithville at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
