Baseball Recap: Orange Grove's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Orange Grove walked away with it. They blew past the Hebbronville Longhorns 7-0 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Linden Rodriguez was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Zach Wright, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

The victory (which was Orange Grove's seventh in a row) raised their record to 21-10-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Hebbronville, their loss dropped their record down to 24-12-1.

Orange Grove will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Longhorns: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
