Basketball Recap: Matt Bannon's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Rockville over Coventry

Rockville was the 58-53 winner over Coventry when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Rockville Rams fell 54-47 to the Coventry Patriots on Friday.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Matt Bannon, who made all 8 shots he took racking up 16 points. Another player making a difference was Thomas Bannon, who posted eight points and 13 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Rockville was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.

Rockville's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Coventry, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-2.

As of now, neither Rockville nor Coventry have any future games scheduled.
