Softball Game Preview: Morristown Colonials vs. West Morris Central Wolfpack

The Morristown Colonials will head out on the road to face off against the West Morris Central Wolfpack at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Morristown will bounce into Friday's match after beating Montville, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. The Colonials came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 10-7 on Wednesday. Morristown's victory was all the more impressive since the Mustangs were averaging only three runs allowed on the season.

Meanwhile, West Morris Central waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 3-0 shutout. The three-run effort marked the Wolfpack's lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Morristown now has a winning record of 2-1. As for West Morris Central, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Morristown came out on top in a nail-biter against West Morris Central in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. Will the Colonials repeat their success, or do the Wolfpack have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
