The Addison Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Michigan Center Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Michigan Center took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Addison, who comes in off a win.
Addison is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Vandercook Lake on Wednesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Jayhawks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Logan Jewell made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Noah Gramm was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Addison: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Josh Ray, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Addison was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Michigan Center lost 11-1 to Leslie on Monday. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Blackhawks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Michigan Center also got a good showing from Layton Stanley, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Addison's record is now 6-8. As for Michigan Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13-1.
Addison skirted past Michigan Center 6-4 in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
