Basketball Game Preview: Kings Mountain Mountaineers vs. Carson Cougars

Having just played yesterday, the Kings Mountain Mountaineers will head out on the road to face off against the Carson Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 17 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Kings Mountain and four for Carson.

Kings Mountain is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Ashbrook on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Kings Mountain was dealt a 55-27 loss at the hands of Ashbrook.

Meanwhile, Carson scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Concord by a score of 54-52.

Kings Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Carson, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Kings Mountain was taken down by Carson 69-33 when the teams last played back in February of 2021. Can Kings Mountain avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
