Baseball Recap: Manitou Springs Wins Going Away Against Peyton

Manitou Springs made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Peyton, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 11-1 victory on Wednesday. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 16-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Cooper Frojen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hayden Martinez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Dillon Ornelas, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
