Basketball Game Preview: Manchester Valley Mavericks vs. Harford Tech Cobras

The Manchester Valley Mavericks will venture away from home to challenge the Harford Tech Cobras at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Manchester Valley has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 14.

Manchester Valley is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Oakdale on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Manchester Valley lost 68-44 to Oakdale. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mavericks have suffered since December 19, 2024.

Despite the defeat, Manchester Valley got top-tier performance from Colton Enderle, who went 10 for 21 en route to 25 points in addition to five boards and five blocks. That's the most points Enderle has posted since back in January of 2024. Trevor Hottenstein was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Harford Tech blew past North East, posting a 73-38 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cobras in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won eight in a row.

Harford Tech's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Manchester Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.

Manchester Valley strolled past Harford Tech in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 65-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Manchester Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
