West Laurens had won six straight games and Ty Cummings did his part to make it seven on Friday. The Raiders enjoyed a cozy 21-7 win over the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers with plenty of help from Cummings, who rushed for 159 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also picked up 31 receiving yards. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 159 rushing yards.

West Laurens' record now sits at 7-0. As for Academy of Richmond County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Coincidentally, West Laurens and Academy of Richmond County will both be playing Hephzibah the next time they take the field. The Raiders will host the Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Musketeers will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
